Ron was born in Seattle, Washington 1958. Shortly thereafter, Ron's family moved to South East Asia (Taiwan, Burma, Laos, Nepal, Japan and several other countries), where his father was the Director of Air America. He remained in Asia for most of his young life. In ninth grade, Ron came back to the States and attended Judson Boarding school in Arizona. Soon he found himself with two technical degrees and then the Marine Corps with his specialty being underwater-related activities back in South East Asia.
After the Corps, Ron went back to school with his major surrounding aerospace technologies at Northrop University. During this time, Ron was blessed (or put to the test!) with Jeremy who was born in Santa Monica, CA in 1981. After college, Ron now a single father, went to work for the corporate world and in about 10 years found himself starting and running what would turn out to be a very successful Scuba Dive operation (Team Divers) in South Beach, Miami. Ron's exploits during this time include owning a 110 foot live-a-board vessel, producing underwater documentaries, (Ron has a passion and love for sharks, while Jeremy's love along these lines are reptiles), becoming Director of Operations for a Treasure Hunting company in the Bahamas and VP of Shark POD - the world's first electronic shark repelling technology in conjunction with the South African government - NSB.
AND Ron's most significant achievement was finding Suzy Tonini, Ron's wife, soul mate and love of his life (oh yeah and Rougher-Duffer-Dooo "the pooch")!
Ron's and Jeremy's passions have come perfect circle. They moved back to the Pacific North West - Bend Oregon in 1999 and amongst other things (career counseling, Steelhead fishing, Mountain Biking and Skiing) have been building custom "gathering tables" / sculptures for several years as a hobby. In 2007 Ron and J jumped in with both feet:)
